Bill Gates, Microsoft founder asks the digital revolution to overcome the 'hunger' that still afflicting so many population of the world. Rapid technological development, can be used to help farmers increase food productivity.

"We have to start thinking hard about how to take advantage of the digital revolution to encourage innovation, including in agriculture. If you care about the poorest, you must care also to agriculture," said Gates in a speech in front of United Nations agencies in Rome.

Gates believes with technology, ordinary farmers can increase food production into two or three times. He gave examples of genetic innovation has allowed time to develop new variations short by cassava seeds from ten years to twoyears.
